Black and grey (also spelled black and gray) describes tattoos built around black ink and shades of grey. Shading can give a face, feathers or other forms a sense of volume. Fine line puts emphasis on delicate outlines. Black and grey puts emphasis on tone and depth. They can work together: a design may combine fine outlines with subtle shading. Send your references and explain whether you prefer a light, delicate result or stronger contrast. We will discuss size and placement rather than trying to fit every detail into a tiny tattoo.
